Gold Canyon Views

Welcome to Gold Canyon, AZ

The Gold Canyon community is located along the eastern edge of the greater Phoenix, AZ, metropolitan area and only about 4 miles from Superstition Mountains.

Here is the view that I took from the "Flatiron" summit area of Superstition Mountain. It shows the Gold Canyon community, which is in the near foreground. Dinosaur Mountain is on the left side of the Gold Canyon community and Silly Mountain is on the right side. Both should probably be called hills rather than mountains and both are considered separately on this website.

This view is from the foothill behind my house looking westward toward downtown Phoenix, which is located 36 miles away (the way the buzzard flies, but about 40 driving miles away) with the houses of Gold Canyon in the foreground.

My home is the one in the center of the view, nearest to the camera.

This mosaic shows the view of Gold Canyon toward the east, away from Phoenix. The low mountain with the several humps is called "Dinosaur Mountain," which is actually an eroded series of intrusive dikes. It is only about a mile from my home (the way the hawk flies).

The view from our local gym, the Multi-Generational Center, which is located in Apache Junction, is hard to beat.

How can this view, which I took from my front driveway, be improved? It can't!

Or this view, taken from the path behind our home? Not possible!
