The Steel Field Complex was originally built in 1913 by Bethlehem Steel for company employees to play league soccer. Later, ownership of the facility transferred to Lehigh University, and in 1962, Moravian College acquired the athletic complex. The track was renamed to honor the memory of Timothy Breidegam, Moravian Class of 1978; and Rocco Calvo, who had served Moravian for over 40 years as head coach for three sports and athletic director. In 2005, the complex underwent extensive renovation.
