On A Dobsonian Mount.

 

 

10 inch DOB

This 10-inch Newtonian telescope is mounted on a Dobsonian base. It was given to me as a gift by Paul Cechovic. Paul and I both are members of the Superstition Mountain Astronomical League.

The telescope set up in my back yard.

The telescope is setup in my driveway with the Canon T4i digital camera attached for taking images at prime focus.

The above image shows "the old moon in the new moon's arms," and the image below shows the planet Venus being occulted by the dark side of the Moon during the daytime on 7 December 2015.
