Choosing courses in the first year for a Nursing major

Majoring in Nursing

Because of the structure of the Nursing program and the time requirements of clinicals in later courses, it is important that NURS115, BIOL103, and FYS be taken in the first semester. The fourth course should fulfill a LinC requirement, with foreign language (F3) generally the best choice. The Nursing department has posted a recommended course schedule for students interested in majoring in Nursing.

[Note that CHEM108 — normally taken in the spring semester of the freshman year — consists of three components: lecture, laboratory, and problem session (e.g. CHEM108, CHEM108 L, and CHEM108 PS). Be sure to register for all three when you take it!]
